How can a OSFM side snap fit a newborn and a todder?
Our One Size Fits Most (OSFM) side snapping nappy fits from about 3.5kgs right up till about 18kgs, this does greatly depend on your little ones body shape.
How is this possible when it doesn’t have rise snaps to adjust the size?
The magic is in those dozens of snaps on the wings. They adjust the leg elastics to help create the leg seal that is oh so very important along with creating a good seal around the waist.
The top snaps are the ones that adjust the waist and the bottom ones are what adjust the leg seal. While they both have their own roles but they both work together and create what some have described as the perfect nappy.
Now side snapping nappies are perfect for when your little one starts crawling as they do not have rise snaps so you greatly reduce the risk of damaging the fabric as its dragged along the floor.
They are also the perfect addition to your stash especially if you have mulitple kids in cloth nappies or even send them to daycare. They are incredibly hard to fit incorrectly, trust me they have somehow been put on backwards and still contained everything and they are fairly forgiving if you do them up a little too tight or loose.
Plus the added bonus from the lack of rise snaps giving the nappy a more streamline look and being able to enjoy the print both front and back.
