Are you new to cloth nappies? Confused by all the different styles?
Let me help break down why I think you'll fall in love with the all in 2 style!
What is an all in 2 (AI2) nappy?
It is a nappy where the insert/s are completely seperate to the shell, they can either snap in (like mine do) or just lay in the shell.
Why I think an AI2 is a fantastic option?
There are many reason why I think they are a fantastic option, I'd nearly go as far as saying the best option.
- They can be a little confusing when you are first starting out, but honestly everything baby related can be confusing until you get to know it.
- When it comes to washing them I've found them to be super easy, you just take the insert out of the shell, rinse any poop off and pop them in the dry pail until wash day/prewash day (for more detailed wash instructions check out our care instructions) . If you have a few inserts with stains you can easily treat those stains without putting a good chunk of your nappies out of action.
- With AI2s you can very easily add or take away inserts (the part that absorb the wee) very very easily, this means if you child is going through a heavy wetting stage you can adjust with an additional booster and once the stage has passed you can go back to your normal inserts.
- The shell (I only recommend using a PUL shell) can also double as a swim nappy, but be warned as each nappy has a water resistant layer it will collect some water.
